If you haven’t driven a twin engine boat the thought of two engines may seem a bit daunting. However, a twin engine boat is actually easier to maneuver than a single engine boat. Twin engines work especially well on boats designed to accommodate a large number of passengers. They enjoy much quicker planing and higher top end versus a single engine with comparable horsepower carrying equal loads. Two motors also work much easier than one to reach the same speeds and push the same loads, consequently they last longer. Their reliability is much better and maintenance cost significantly lower than a single high performance motor with comparable horsepower of the two.
